Hideaway Cafe the premier listening room for Tampa Bay's inaugural Listening Room Festival

LISTENING ROOM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED
FOR MARCH 14 - 18 IN TAMPA BAY, FL.

Tampa, FL., -- Dozens of concerts and music workshops are scheduled for the inaugural Listening Room Festival in the Tampa Bay area, March 14 – 18, 2012. The festival is a week-long celebration of house concerts and other intimate listening rooms.

Listening Room Festival provides free tools for music fans to host personalized concerts in their living rooms, offices, clubhouses – unique settings for music.

Hosts can choose their favorite local acts or use the festival website for access to professional touring artists coming from as far away as New York and New Mexico. Hosts also receive invitations to attend other private concerts associated with the festival.

“We are bringing back the dinner party in a fun and interesting way,” said Fran Snyder, Listening Room Festival founder. “What better way to enjoy live music than in a cozy living room with good friends.”

The festival also includes daytime workshops for musicians March 16 and 17 at the Hideaway Café in downtown St. Petersburg. Topics include Fan-Funding, From Musician to Artist, Touring Profitably and Finding Your Voice. Featured instructors include Vinx (Berkley College of Music) and Nashville singer-songwriter Suzahn Fiering. Workshops are limited to fifty registrants.

Hideaway Café will also feature more than 20 showcasing artists Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
