Friday Lyndsay Wojcik, Saturday Doug & Telisha Williams!
|It's that time again... the weekend's here and we have a heck of a line up for you. Kicking it off Friday, we welcome back Asheville native, Lyndsey Wojcik with special guest, Emily Kopp. Both of these fantastic artists have visited us before and we're all in for another special treat.
"Combining a musical mixture of roots, folk, and soul, Lyndsay Wojcik brings a refreshing twist to the....music industry. Using her savvy lyrical sense, she paints her interpretation of life onto her audience as if they were the wet canvas on which she worked. She has won several competitions such as the Gibson Songwriters contest in Nashville, placed second in the NSAI songwriter competition in Charlotte, placed second in a competition in Knoxville, and has appeared on the CMT television show 'The Big Break' with Sara Evans."
Warming things up for Lyndsay, we welcome back, Emily Kopp. Emily is a 20 year old soul/pop/acoustic/singer-songwriter (yes, all of those!) based out of Orlando, FL. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky. Her soulful voice is reminiscent of musicians such as Norah Jones, Adele, & Corinne Bailey Rae. Please don't miss these two entertaining singer/songwriters this Friday 1/13. Doors at 6PM - show time at 8PM.
Saturday, we welcome back the fabulous songwriting duo, Doug & Telisha Williams. "Doug and Telisha hail from Martinsville, Virginia, where boarded up factories stand as monuments to how fast the world can change. When they write and sing songs about dying small towns, they know what they’re talking about. Their hometown sits in the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains and you can hear, smell and taste that influence on their new record, Ghost of the Knoxville Girl. Like the very best singer-songwriters, this duo gives a voice to the struggles of everyday people, as well ghosts of the past." Please don't miss these two as they pass through... truly gifted songwriting performed by two pros.
We really hope you'll catch one (or both) of these events. A fantastic and memorable evening, whichever you decide, lies ahead.
Special thanks to last weeks performers, Renee Proffitt, Matt Haley, JT Brown, Jack Williams, Roy Schneider... great weekend folks. We'd also like to thank all the singer/songwriters that continue to share their music with us. There has been some really great talent passing through lately. If you're in the area or getting off work and are looking for some music to whet your palate during the week, poke your head in....you won't be disappointed.
